In the Garden

After weeks of working extra hours and events (not to mention working on my portfolio and trying to juggle daily obligations) I was finally able to go out and experience some job and sunshine. Getting up in the wee hours of the day, my Aunt and I trekked down to the Florence Griswold Museum to explore the gardens. My Auntie was looking for painting inspiration as everything was in full bloom. I'm not sure what I was looking for other then to simply enjoy the beauty that was before me. There was something wonderful about being the only people on the grounds in the early hours of the morning. Tiny dew drops sparkled on the flower's petals, the air was cool and the sun, still low in the sky, cast long shadows (perfect inspiration for any artist).

I love the petals feathering the ground.

I love trying to capture the light

The perfect place to get lost in for a few hours...
